


Our job roles at Starcare Ltd are both varied and rewarding, they are specifically for motivated and committed people who genuinely want to help others with their daily tasks and assist them in retaining their dignity and independence and promote real choice throughout their time with Starcare Ltd.
We position our Support Team into three categories depending on the different level of skills, experience and training needed to fulfil their role as carer. All members of the team must be willing and committed to under-take our continious training programme which complies with and in most cases exceeds the standards set out in the National Minimum Standards.
Offering excellent rates of pay, No experience required, full training provided. 5.6 weeks holiday, NVQ training, Specialised Training Programme. Paid travel and mileage allowance. Staff are supported as part of our team having access to senior staff 24 hours a day.
Below we have given short descriptions of our three main job categories, these descriptions are in no way exhaustive and due to the nature of the work and changing needs of our service users can not include all duties that may be required.
SUPPORT WORKER
The aim of the Support Worker is to improve the lives of vulnerable people by providing practical and personal support / care as defined by the service plan, including: assisting to wash, dress, undress, continence management, medication prompt, meals, and all other daily living tasks. Reporting any issues requiring updating / amending in a service users service plan. Your position will include working with people on a weekly or daily basis assisting them in practical and personal care activities.
SPECIALISED SUPPORT WORKER
The main aim of being a Specialised Support Worker is to help improve the lives of our service users who have increased or specific needs due to a specific or number of conditions. You will do this by offering a personalised, practical support/care package as defined by the user's service plan, assisting to wash, dress, undress, continence management, medication prompt, meals, and all other daily living tasks. Reporting any issues with their service plan and making the required amendments. Due to the nature of your work you may be required to provide service for long periods of time or by split shift rota. You will receive training in addition to the company Induction programme to ensure focused care is provided.
SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER
The main aim of being a Senior Support Worker is to carry out a supervisory role within the Support team to make sure all standards are met or exceeded. To ensure service provision is of the highest standard possible. To provide assistance and support to all staff. To liaise with external stakeholders in the provision of service to service users. To provide supervision and training of Support workers. To carry out all monitoring visits regarding service provision as per company policies and procedures.
