What We Do
Starcare is passionate about delivering person-centred care and support. Since our launch in 2008 we have prided ourselves on delivering exceptional homecare to thousands of families in Cheshire. We want to make sure that we treat every care experience as though we were looking after one of our own family – making it as special and supportive as possible.
At Starcare we offer flexible care and support by understanding what is important to every individual and making a real difference for our service-users and their families. We use our extensive experience and training in the care industry to support you in helping to keep your loved ones in the comfort of their own homes as long as possible. Where we can, we also provide continuity of care by making sure you see the same carers friendly face as often as possible.

Paula Pedlow – Managing Director
Caring for people is my passion and I have been involved in the care industry for over 20 years. I truly believe that customers should remain living in their own homes for as long as possible, choosing the services they want and helping to maintaining their independence as long as possible. I enjoy working with my teams of support workers and managers to make sure we all deliver person-centred care every day. Training is key, and I will make sure that everyone who works for Starcare has the training and on-going development they need to deliver fantastic service all day, every day. I also want to make sure that we develop the company so it is fit for the future.
Our Quality and Customer Support Team
Delivering a quality service is key to being a great service provider. Aimee and Mary, plus their service co-ordinator teams are there to make sure that we look after our customers, provide a safe and risk-managed care plan and support our customers with regular quality reviews. They are also there to make sure someone is there at the end of the phone to assist with any care queries, either from customers or our teams, to review the quality of our documentation, follow up service reviews and make sure everyone is supported at all times.
Our Field Service Support Team
We have recently introduced a new role at Starcare – Service Support Officers. We wanted to make sure that all our customers and employees had a more direct contact with us, and our 14 SSO’s are out and about in the community, talking to customers, making sure our teams deliver great service on a daily basis, and helping with any queries from staff or service-users. This role will continue to grow and we are always looking for feedback to make sure they deliver all day, every day.
Our Support Team for Staff and Customers
Making sure that our teams and customers are looked after is what we’re here for. Debi, Frances and Robert, along with their teams, are here to make sure that we have satisfied customers and motivated and engaged teams. Whether it’s helping with direct payments for customers, supporting our employee teams and making sure they are paid correctly, keeping the teams up to date with what’s going on through newsletters and events, or making sure that everyone is kept safe in their work – that’s our job, and we want to do it well to help deliver great customer service.
At Starcare we only employ carers who we know can provide the best possible care with compassion and dignity. By our teams delivering great service we can offer peace of mind, not only for the people that we are caring for, but also for the families and friends of those around them. Through the company’s induction and training process, Starcare has quickly established itself as one of the highest quality specialised care providers in Chester and Cheshire. We invest heavily in our staff, providing continuous support and training throughout their career with Starcare, not only ensuring that they each have the required skills, but also guaranteeing that each of our service-users receives an unrivalled level of care and support.
